The SDLC is a tool for assessing and developing the development process. It allows for a fine-grained analysis of each process phase. As a result, companies are able to optimize productivity at each phase.

Advantages of SDLC:
1. Gives a defined view of the entire system, resources, timeline, and goals.
2. Easy evaluation of costs and growth of the developed system.
3. Design reviews help to ensure the reliability and quality of the final product.

Disadvantages of SDLC:
1. Outdated processes.
2. Testing may not be suitable for all development teams.

Uses and Importance of SDLC
The difficulty of designing a system from the ground up is minimized by using a system implementation life cycle. It is important to have an SDLC in place because it aids in the transformation of a project's concept into a fully functional and operational framework. SDLC assists with process creation, change management, user interface, and policies in addition to technical aspects of system development.

Spiral Methodology:
- One of the more flexible methodologies.
- Has 4 phases (Planning, Risk Analysis, Engineering, Evaluation)
- Used for larger projects, for a highly customized project.

DevOps Methodology:
- One of the newer SDLC methodology.
- The collaboration between the development and operations team at all stages of the SDLC process.
- Emerged from two trends, application of Agile and Lean practices to operation work.

In planning phases , we will focus at customer or clients which is “what customer want “ . Then , we will discuss the  customer’s request in the requirement analysis phases . -The Waterfall SDLC model is the classic method of development.
- As each phase completes, the project spills over into the next step.
- One advantage of the Waterfall model is each phase can be evaluated for continuity and feasibility before moving on.
-It's limited in speed.

2)Agile models:
-AGILE model was designed by developers to put customer needs first.
-Focuses strongly on user experience and input.
-Software highly responsive tp customer feedback.
