Introduction

Munch! Crunch! Clink!The noises of the noisy hocker centre. We were having lunch. It was filled with chatter.After we finished my dad asked me to bring a cup to the return tray corner.I slowly took the cup without thinking, & slowly walked to the return tray area. How dangerous would it be to take a cup to a return tray area? I was so wrong!

                         Accident 

Suddenly,Crash! I dropped the cup on my arm!It shattered into pieces!I screamed at the top of my lungs!I was shaking in fear.Everybody turned to ME! My parents rushed over.It was wild!I was screaming, my mom was calming me down & my dad was calling an ambulance!In 5 minutes there was an ambulance taking me to east shore hospital.I was in so much pain!
                         Hospital 

When we got to the hospital the doctor checked me.The doctor slowly put a bandage around my right arm.The bandage help me stabilise my arm.The doctor told me I have to wear this cast for a month

                  Life with the cast

It was quite Challenging living with the cast.First:, getting used to wearing the cast.I wouldn't normally wear the cast.Secondly,:washing myself.Since I had to wear the cast I couldn't get it wet,So my parents would put a plastic bag around my arm when I was showering.Last:handling the pain.It would hurt a lot at first but when i get used to it it wouldn't hurt so much!
      
            Opportunities & perspective 

Even though it was challenging there were some opportunities & perspective.Some opportunities were my parents starting to notice me,Learning how to handle my pain & being resilient.Some of my perspectives were I know how to be safe & can help anyone with broken arms.

                  Cast off  

After a month it was finally time to take off my cast. My parents drove me to the hospital.I had a bubbly excited feeling.& soon my cast was off!I was free!

I felt as light as cotton.I now always remember to not to be ashamed of wearing my cast and to be brave & resilient.
