The nostalgia can affect the listeners emotions by making them cry tears of joy, or even the act of trying to find a sense of positivity in a time of tribulations. Certain word choices or rhythms of music can bring back memories from either bad or good times. Regardless, the listener can reflect from these memories and determine how they want to move on from them in the current time of their lives. For example, “Photograph” by Ed Sheeran makes me think about the good times in my life where I didn’t have to worry about school or work.The lyrics create illustrate thoughts and memories from when I was a little kid who was free from stress.
