         <description><![CDATA[<div><a href="https://www.n2y.com">Unique</a> is a science and social studies curriculum that aligned with general education curriculum and is tailored for students with disabilities. The monthly lessons vary switching from science content to social studies.The lessons are differentiated to the needs of each student and can be presented in many ways. There are interactive activities included daily to help students with comprehension, new vocabulary, and content related each subject. There are monthly checkpoints, assessments, and lesson planning tools available for teachers. <br><br>UDL Checkpoints  and Guidelines Unique Supports:<br>Checkpoint 1.1: <mark>Offer ways of customizing the display of the information</mark>. The teacher can display the information by using a projector during the lesson or the material can be printed out for the students to hold. <br><br>Checkpoint 3.2: <mark>Highlight patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships.</mark>  Unique lessons allow the students to read the information, and lets the teacher ask questions during reading for comprehension.<br><br>Checkpoint 5.1 <mark>Use multiple media for communication</mark>. Students can write, type, cut out answers and paste them, and verbally answer questions during a lesson with an activity.<br><br>Checkpoint 6.2 <mark>Support Planning and strategy development</mark>.<br><br><em>How does this program address specific learner variability and barriers in multiple ways?</em><br><br></div><ul><li>Unique presents material to students in a story with characters that are similar to the students in age and makes the information presented engaging. </li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>It allows students who may have difficulty with comprehension answer questions with visual representation of words.</li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>It provides students and teachers a way to track progress through online tests and monthly content checkpoints that align with state standards. </li></ul>]]></description>

The curriculum uses multi sensory means to help students understand and utilize math concepts. Each lesson has 3 levels for explanation, utilization, and assessment. Real life pictures, vocabulary representation, and interactive games assist students with activation previous mathematical concepts.          <description><![CDATA[<div><a href="https://www.readinga-z.com">Reading A-Z</a> encompasses differentiated instruction through blended learning. Thousands of books are leveled for engagement and are developmentally appropriate for use during guided reading, fluency, and comprehension activities. As the student continues to develop reading and decoding skills, there are books that will continue to challenge them. Reading A-Z has many lesson plans and assessments available for teachers, there are tons of great activities that align with each book, and students can use the text to speech option to listen to the book during independent reading time.<br><br>UDL Checkpoint and Guidelines Reading A-Z Supports:<br><br>Checkpoint 5.3 <mark>Build fluencies with graduated levels of support for practice and performance.</mark> Reading A-Z provides scaffolds for reading and fluency that can be faded as the student gains independence.<br><br>Checkpoint 7.2 <mark>Optimize relevance, value, and authenticity</mark>. Reading A-Z offers many types of books that addresses any topic available. From culture, history, social stories, to books for ELL learners.<br><br>Checkpoint 9.3 <mark>Develop self-assessment and reflection</mark>. Games and activities provided in the Reading A-Z Kids section provides instant assessment for students in an informal way.<br><br>Checkpoint 2.1 <mark>Clarify vocabulary and symbols</mark>  The leveled books contain support for vocabulary through symbols as well as definitions on the last page of the book for new vocabulary.<br><br><em>How does this program address specific learning variability and barriers in multiple ways?<br></em><br></div><ul><li>Vocabulary is pre-taught along with symbols in ways that promote connection to the learners' experience and prior knowledge.</li><li>There are embedded visuals, and non-linguistic supports for vocabulary clarification.</li><li>Activities are authentic and relatable to the individual learner.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

Facts include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. As the students pass each level, they are provided with assessment which determines their baseline and identifies which facts need to be practiced. <br><br>UDL Checkpoints and Guidelines FasTT Math Supports:<br><br>Checkpoint 8.4 <mark>Increase mastery-oriented feedback</mark>. FasTT math provides instant feedback that focuses on improvement, individual effort, and achieving a standard.<br><br>Checkpoint 6.4 <mark>Enhance capacity for monitoring progress</mark>. Student Dashboard allows students to see their growth daily and supports ownership of learning.<br><br>Checkpoint 3.1 <mark>Activate or supply background knowledge</mark>. There are over 28 multi-level games that align with state standards. Since the games are engaging, they offer children with new challenges. The app also provides accessibility options for all types of learners, different fonts, and the use of a keypad.<br><br>UDL Checkpoints and Guidelines Supports:<br><br>Checkpoint 1.1 <mark>Offer ways of customizing the display of information</mark>. The app allows the user to change the volume and music and adjust font for specific learning needs.<br><br>Checkpoint 4.2 <mark>Optimize access to tools and assistive technologies</mark>. The app can he changed for students who use Assistive Technologies by providing alternate keyboards /Keypads.<br><br>Checkpoint 7.1 <mark>Optimize individual choice and autonomy</mark>. The user is able to choose the preferred activity and when they master the skill, they move on to a more in-depth skill. After each section is completed, a new section unlocks providing new challenges.<br><br><em>How does this program address specific learner variability and barriers in multiple ways?<br></em><br></div><ul><li>The program is self-paced and allows students who are struggling to access math concepts by using technology.</li><li>Students are engaged using challenging and achievable activities rather than traditional, repetitive worksheets.</li></ul>]]></description>

Not only do the videos explain how to complete a problem, they provide several illustrations to help learners process information.<br><br>How does this program address specific learner variability and barriers in multiple ways?<br><br></div><ul><li>Khan Academy is able to provide quick and easy content related to grade level curriculum in a new and engaging way. </li><li>Students can review concepts that they have missed in class so that they can continue without falling behind.</li><li>Visual manipulatives are provided in the video to add extra support to the lesson.</li></ul>]]></description>
