How to celebrate our students....

One big takeaway that I had was asking our students how they like to be celebrated. Some students might want a note or a text. Others might want you to call a parent. Some students might not want to be called out and celebrated during Class Time, and some might like to be celebrated during Morning Announcements. Remember as teachers we like to be celebrated in different ways and so do our students!
Hugs,
Christina

I sat in on a session about learning disabilities lead by some of our ESE staff. It was really interesting to hear about how Discalculia shows up in a student's learning and thinking process. This is a great starting point for me to look more into this and learn how to work with students who face this challenge. ~Tiffany Patterson

Everyone I met was so dedicated to their students and committed to helping them succeed. Everyone you meet knows something you don't. I learned a bunch of new tips and ideas. You can never have too many tricks in your toolbox when you work with middle schoolers! -Dobes
