I'm happy to talk with you.  But, before you get in my sociological world, I want you to know me.

My name is Maithê and I'm a Brazilian sociologist. I first graduated at Social Science in State University of Maringá and now I'm doing a master's degree at State University of Londrina. I study social movements, feminist theory and political participation.

I love what I do! I decided that I would be a sociologist when I was 17 years old. I was scared and in front of the most difficult decision I have ever made: what will be my profession? So, I started my graduation in 2019 and since then I found the answer I was looking for: today I work as a sociologist and it is my profession.

Recently I realized that I forgot something important: if I'm proud of my work and my researches, I need to share them with as many people as I can. Then, I created a blog and called it "world by sociology".

My blog is a place of learning, thinking and sharing new ideas.  In my following posts, I'll talk about human interaction, culture, social stratification and the digital age. Before we start, I wanna make an invitation: look for me on social media, listen to my podcasts and read my posts.
