Is the expectation that we completely create new assessments (because current ones are not conducive to DL administration) and then to re load them (create flex assessments and match standards) into Illuminate since 1st grade does not give assessments digitally with the exception of Skills Assessments? We had not been using Illuminate to administer assessments anyway, so that isn't a hurdle we need to jump.

We came up with a protocol where students stay in the Google Meet during assessments and drop a comment in the chat when they are done. That's our signal to double check. Should we share students' ID numbers to access Illuminate assessments?  Or will this be done in a different way?

While we all shared an understanding of the importance of valid assessment results, we also recognize the reality of adding more stress to kids' lives with strict testing procedures. We have been using illuminate for math benchmarks and we are finding was to substitute our science assessments but still put them into Illuminate. We also morphed our science units a bit to be slightly more digital so the students are prepared for the assessment in that way.
