3. Be aware of other people's language levels when engaging in conversation and adjust the difficulty of language you're using accordingly.
4. Be aware of cultural norms in conversation - English culture is heavily mannered based. Also weight all group members opinions, if others don't get the chance to speak you might not get to hear an important point.
5. Give shy people more time to adapt and become comfortable in the group. Ask them their opinion as this may encourage them to feel confident to contribute.
6. Have confidence to interject an opinion which supports or counters what that person is saying. Just allowing one person to speak means a good conversation can't happen so it would be okay to politely interrupt.
7. Slow down when speaking and be aware of the language level of the person you're speaking to - someone from your own culture might be able to follow a fast conversation with more ease than someone from another culture.
8. If you see that someone doesn't understand, repeat what you said or explain in a different way. If you don't understand yourself, give yourself time to gain the confidence to ask the person speaking to explain what they meant.
