I had faith that I would prevail and reach the top, despite oppositions.
I was able to Hi'uwai at the top of Koko Head crater. I had not done this hike in many years. This physical challenge represented all the mental and emotional challenges that I faced this past year. On Saturday I set my goal and reached the top, even though I had to take some breaks on the way up. It was just like my life this past year...I needed some moments to step aside and just breathe.  As I sat at the top releasing and letting go of emotional trauma, I felt so much love in my heart and peace in my mind. I love this place where I live and how much beauty there is all around me. As I looked out into the endless ocean horizon, I knew I was healed. 
Sunday (today) I decided to do Koko Head again. I felt so energized with such a weight lifted off me, that I wanted to challenge myself again. Today was so magical! Every time I stepped aside to take a breath, a butterfly was flying near me. When I reached the top and sat at the exact same spot as yesterday, butterflies were flying all around me. I knew this was a symbol of my mental and emotional transformation from yesterday's Hi'uwai.
