1.) I am teaching myself piano. The majority of it is constant practice to instill the new skills I learn. It is through that practice that I can get better at playing the piano.

2.) This week I noticed my time management skills were put to the test. I am taking 5 classes at the University of Memphis all with different assignments. My initial approach stressed me out. I was overwhelmed and had to rethink my approach.

1.)Whenever I teach any class, I look forward to the feedback professors provide. This is because I want to learn what I can improve on or what I did well so I can incorporate those skills into future assignments.

2.)I make art on wood by burning the design on to the wood. I start of by transferring the design on to the wood and using a wood burning tool to burn the wood. It requires a lot of patience and time. There are times when I make a mistake, that is burn a particular spot on the wood for too long. Sometimes that effects the overall look of the piece; however with varying degrees of heat the art piece can come out great. It has taken me multiple tries and incorporating what has worked in the past, to create great looking pieces of wood art.

1.) One experience is at my job. I work with a team to create and implement curriculum for our online programs with students. The team have meetings where we talk about what it is we want the students to learn, and what that would look like when implemented. It is a team effort, everyone offers ideas for the material.

2.) For one of my psychology classes, we were put into groups of 6. We were asked to complete an activity worksheet as a team. However, none of us had spoken with one another. We had to get to know each other a little bit and then work as a team to complete the worksheet. Every offered up their area of expertise, we were able to complete the worksheet.

1.) When I first started my job as a Youth Specialist, they did not instruct me on how to interact with the students. Instead, on my second day of work, I was asked to lead the curriculum. In there terms, it was a "baptism by fire." I think it was highly effective because it forced me to think on my feet and figure out what worked with the students, and what did not.

2.)For my introduction to communications class we were required to give speeches to the class. I have always had some difficulty when it came to presentations. My professor would offer many tips on how to overcome that obstacle; however, it wasn't until I gave my speech that I understood some of those tips. I gradually got more comfortable with the speeches, and each time I learned some more tips.

1.) Part of my job as a Youth Specialist is to sometimes create curriculum. The approach I take is not about okay what do I want the students to learn. I approach it more along the lines of how can I keep the students engaged while still providing the material I want them to learn. Most of if it is first figuring out how the students learn, and basing the curriculum around that.

2.) Last week I had set a goal to begin my fitness journey. I created goals and created a workout plan. I have not stuck to my fitness journey sense I started. This is an instance where I believe I should a bit harder on my intentional learning because my plan did not work.
