TASK 1 (Question 4): If you were given a chance to write an alternative ending for the story, how would you end it? Explain your reasons.

Personally, I want the story to have an unexpected ending. While David and the little boy was on their way to airport it was raining cat and dog.There were chatting to get to know more about each other.Suddenly, the taxi make an emergency break that cause them to be thrown up from their seat. Luckily,both of them wear the seatbelts.David ask the taxi driver why he brake so sudden.Ohh, its a cow🐂.

After the small incident, they continued their journey to the airport.David ask the taxi driver to speed up as they need to buy the flight ticket.Finally, after an hour journey, they safely arrived.As they stepped out, all they can see was an ocean of people.This situation make things getting hard as David need to rush to buy the flight ticket.

David settled all the important things before getting on the plane.Now, they finally on board.Actually the plane has to be delayed, but the airport management make a quick decision and letting the plane to be depart.The plane journey was not smooth and comfy as it was raining heavily.Suddenly the plane pilot make an emergency announcement which ask the passengers to fasten their seatbelt.

The plane cannot be control because the plane has fly into the heavy and stormy cloud.As a result, the plane crash.All the passengers died at the crash scene except David.It was a miracle for David and he was really grateful.The death of Davey really upset and give a deep sadness toward David as he has plans to do many things with Davey.

Eventhough David survived from the crash,his leg and backbone was badly injured.David has been confirmed by doctor will be paralysed for the rest of his life.The news about the crash been reported on all TV stations.Accidentaly,Martha saw the news and she was really touched. She immediately go to find David.She wants to take care of him.Now,she has realised that she really in love with David.

After several years,Martha and David get twins child of girl and boy from their marriage 2 years ago.Martha decided to remarried with David from the moment she knew about the crash involving David and Davey.They named the twins as Davey. Jr and Marsha.Davey.Jr has been choose as a name to remember Davey,that killed in the crash.

There are several reasons why we choose this ending.First,we want this story to be full of moral values.Martha learn from the lesson and she was regret what she was done before toward David,his ex husband.Next,we want the ending to be unexpected which ia unlike the other cliche stories.Usually the story end with a happy ending with no conflict.We make this story to have many conflict so the readers can experienced suspens and they will want to continue reading as they cannot imagine the ending of the story.We want to make sure after they finish read this ending,they can conclude that this story is worth with the time spend for reading.

TASK 1 (Question 2): Based on the story , what were the factors contributed to their failed marriage ? Justify your opinion .

Based on the story , the factors that contributed to their failed marriage were lack of communication between David and Martha . For example , Martha did not share her personal thought about David's job when she found out that David bought a new fishing boat . Besides , David blame Martha for being a liar since she did not want to see David again but after 10 years she made a call and begged David to meet her immediately .The other factors that contribute to their failed marriage was when Martha's relatives involved in their marriage life when they urged David to sign the divorce paper . Last but not least , David did not take any initiative to communicate with Martha when he gave up too soon as he started not to believe their marriage would ever work . To conclude , eventhough we are in highly educated person , it does not mean that we can handle everything smoothly since education does not promise anything .

TASK 1 (Question 3: Do you think the man made a wise decision, taking the little boy home with him? Explain your answer.

I think that David made a wise decision by taking the little boy with him because David was lonely and there is no one at his home except for him. He wanted a child for a very long time and the boy can accompany him at home. Furthermore, the boy did not have any parents to look after him because his father died while his mother left him. The boy is very young and could not take care of himself. Besides, the boy is Martha's only child which David thinks he need to be responsible of. In addition, if David handed the little boy to the police, the boy will definitely be send to the orphanage.

David is a good man and leaving the boy alone at the cafe would make him no difference from Martha. Having the boy with him will make David less lonely and he can also have Davey as his legacy for his beloved Sandakan boat.
