I noticed the student did not use her finger to track which did eventually lead to a tracking error when sweeping to the next line. She did acknowledge punctuation and gave correct pauses although it was all read in a monotonous tone.

My student got hung up on multisyllabic words mostly. There were a few that she switched the end sounds and put them at the beginning or just mixed them around. She struggled with r blends and r-controlled vowels as well as some long vowel patterns like magic e, oo, and ay as well as y as an i and soft c sounds.

I will look at the errors and try to reteach the concepts that were missed by asking what were they struggling and making errors on.

I know some of the errors were in concepts that were recently taught and some that were not yet taught. The magic e was missed in multisyllabic words even though I know the student can recognize it in single syllable words and did during the reading. I would even address syllabication so the student understands how to spot these patterns in words with more than one syllable.
