In my opinion, to apply metacognition in education, teach students to be aware of their thinking by guiding them to plan, monitor, and evaluate their learning strategies, Aldo using reflective activities like think-alouds and learning journals, integrate adaptive technology for personalized learning, and promote a growth mindset where effort and learning from mistakes are key.

What I've learned is applicable in many ways. Specially as a teacher, this provides lots of different techniques so as to reinforce the students knowledge acquisition. Being a metacognitive teacher makes me step way farther than the average. My possibilities significantly boost. Also as a student I am going to open up my mind to new knowledges and make myself aware of what I do.

I’ll use the metacognition in classes with self-questioning, this will be to encourage students to ask themselves questions like “what am I trying to accomplish?” or “What resources do I need?

With this strategy, I can help my students to develop a stronger sense of metacognition, leading to more effective learning, increased independence and improved academic achievement.

If I had to apply what I've learnt from metacognition, I would try to encourage my students to start tasks or any type of learning by modelling and showing them how the process is going to be plus what strategies they can use in their journey, as well as letting they know the thoughts and feelings while developing any task so they feel validated and portrayed; I would make sure they see how learning is not precisely easy, but that's okay because we have tools to navigate it. A teacher like that can connect with the students and showcase their dedication not only with a subject but the actual learning process; which will always be valuable for any context. - Mariana Castro
