Americans were enthusiastic about this trip because no one else had made a daring trip like this before. Knowing that an American did it, made the American people feel a sense of Patriotism. He changed the country completely because in a few years after he made his voyage, the U.S was able to make trips like this effortlessly.

Henry Ford influenced American production because he wanted to create an automobile that will be affordable for everyone not just the wealthy class. By creating this Model he also introduced the assembly line which revolutionized American society. Some wealthy people considered him a traitor of the class because he still cared for the common man and always found solutions for the common man. This angered a lot of wealthy people because they are supposed to be much better than the common man. Have luxurious objects that the common man don't have.

This case is significant for a variety of reasons. Sacco and Vanzetti were executed for the murder of two people at a shoe factory where Sacco's gun was found at the crime scene. The two did not receive a fair trial because there was not enough evidence or witnesses to prove them guilty or innocent. They were prosecuted mainly for their immigrant status and also because of their radical and political beliefs being anarchists. This is an example of the U.S being unfair to those who don't see eye to eye with the government.

Radio changed America dramatically because now Americans were able to hear the news right when it happens, instead of waiting a day for the newspaper to come out. Entertainment was also exploited due to the radio broadcasts since now stories can be shared through them for all those who listen. The Idea of news traveling so fast was indeed innovative for both the civilians and the military itself.

There was bootlegging going on and it also sparked up brothels because the men will get drunk enough to want to become sexually active. John Scopes, a science teacher, taught his students Charles Darwins' Theory of evolution. Obviously he went to trial and the trial was essentially Darwinists vs those who believed in the bible and it turned into a media circus. The trial was the first ever trial broadcasted. Scopes ended up guilty who had to pay a $100 fine. This was significant because it told about what the 1920's was all about which was the struggle against change. "A struggle of switching from an Anglosaxon society to a more pluralistic society. "

The National Origins Act of 1924 was a law that restricted immigration from Southern and Eastern Europe and also Asians. The act was essentially discriminatory. This changed the American landscape drasticly due to the fact that less and less Jews immigrated and also asians such as Japanese people and Chinese. The diversity started to lessen during this time.

The movie " A Birth Of A Nation" inspired the KKK to reemerge into the spotlight. They were not only anti black but anti Roman Catholics, foreigners, and organized labor. Due to the rapid flow of Immigrants during this time, the KKK decided to take a stance and rapidly grow as well and create chaos during their peak in which 4 million people joined this group natiowide. Their symbol is a burning cross along with parades and marches that were held all around the country.

The Seattle General Strike of 1919 was a five day work stoppage by more than 65,000 people in Seattle because of fair wages not being offered to them after the War. During the war they were getting paid very good but once the war was over, of course their benefits diminished and they stopped receiving fair wages. It ended up being not successful at all because they were being called Bolsheviks creating a sentiment in which the American people would rally with the nation instead of the people of Seattle. There was also the Police strike and the Coal Miners strike.
