         <description><![CDATA[<p>When caring for wounds they should be cleaned immediately to prevent any unwanted debris from entering. Soap and water or a sterile solution are good choices for what a wound should be cleaned with. Dressings can be used to cover the wound to keep it clean from anything harmful. Antibacterial ointment are good to use when trying to prevent bacterial infections from occurring and dressings sticking to the wound </p>]]></description>

         <title>Recognizing an Infection in a Wound</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>There can be many different signs of inflammation in a wound such as pain, swelling, redness, heat, and impaired function. Pus could be seen as well. A fever could happen but its' a sign that the immune system is trying to fight off the bacterial infection. </p><p>Some but not all infections can be treated well with antibiotics. MRSA is an example of a skin infection that can be resistant to some antibiotics. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
