Our sense of smell helps us know what things smell like, like flowers, food, or even stinky socks! When we breathe in, tiny smells go up into our nose, and our brain helps us figure out what they are.

Our sense of taste helps us know if food is sweet, sour, salty, or bitter. We have tiny things in our mouth called taste buds, these help us feel these flavors.

Our sense of hearing helps us listen to sounds like music, talking, and animals. Our ears catch sound waves when somethings makes a noise. The sound goes to our ears, and our brain understands it.

Our sense of touch helps us feel things like hot, cold, soft, or rough. We have skin all over our body with tiny sensors and when we touch something it sends a signal to our brain. Our brain then tells us what it feels like.
