Everything is going smoothly, except that Woody finds out that Andy's party was moved to that day because he is moving.

Meeting with the Mentor

Andy gets Buzz as a birthday present. All of the other toys think he is really cool. There is a clip in the movie that shows Buzz teaching the toys his abilities.

Crossing the Threshold

Woody starts to realize that Buzz may be Andy's new favorite toy. Buzz is also favored by the other toys.

Tests, Allies, and Enemies

Woody and Buzz get lost at Pizza Planet, and meet the Aliens (the best characters in this movie). Sid finds them and takes them home, plans to destroy them.

Approach

Woody has to convince the other toys that he didn't harm Buzz, and they are friends now. He also has to find a way to make his way back to Andy's house.

The Ordeal

Woody has to save Buzz from Sid destroying him. Buzz finally realizes that he is a toy, and not a "space ranger".

The Reward

They defeat Sid by scaring him and telling him that the toys do not appreciate being beat up. Sid promises never to mess with a toy again.

The Road Back

They find the moving truck with the rest of Andy's toys in it. They are able to find a way to get in, but Buzz gets lost and misses the truck.

The Resurrection

The toys do not except Woody because they think he killed Buzz. They push him out, but Woody and Buzz have a plan to prove to them.

The Return With the Elixir (prize)

After they make it back to Andy, they are living happily in the new house around Christmas time. The film ends on a cliff hanger, and with Andy getting a puppy.
