This genocide occurred in Congo, Africa in starting in 1996. The genocide is actually still going on today as well. The Pygmy people were getting removed from their land out of force. This caused them to have poor health and struggle with money. On top of them having poor health, they didn't have enough money for food so they couldn't eat as much. The Pygmy people were getting killed in three different ways which makes this genocide a big deal. The Pygmy people were not only getting murdered just normally but they were also getting raped and there was even cannibalism going on. Many people saw the Pygmy people as short and unequal so they went against them. Others believed that the Pygmy's flesh was magical and gave them magic powers when consumed. An airliner going hundreds of miles per hour plowed into the North tower of the two twin towers at the world trade center. About 17 minutes later another airliner plowed into the South tower. This all happened during what everyone thought was a normal day at work. Over 2,600 people died from 9/11.
