I think that a lot of us compare ourselves to each other and that leads to negative self-talk. This book has some great advice for students who may be struggling with their confidence and feeling like an outsider. I like that the book started with Jayla sharing the various cultures that she fits into.
Teaching resources: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62vDZBDUGhU
