I joined Kier in 2008 as a qualified carpenter working on various projects carrying out general site carpentry i.e. 1st and 2nd fix.

I left in 2011 and re-joined as a Trainee Engineer in December 2012. Having worked on various projects setting out and managing external works I got promoted to Site Engineer in May 2015

I have little involvement with commercial and contractual issues however i hope to have some involvement within the next year.

Also, although Kier do partake in sustainable building, i have not yet been on a job with sustainable significance to comment upon.

My personal organisation stems from weekly meetings and the construction program. I then write up daily and weekly lists in my diary to ensure i prioritize and manage my engineering works efficiently.

Quality of work is monitored by the site team however the majority of the early work packages are monitored by the Engineer i.e. Drainage.
