         <title>1803: The Louisiana Purchase</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Louisiana Purchase changed the United States forever. It was bought in 1803 by president Thomas Jefferson. The Louisiana Territory took up land from Louisiana all the way up to the border of Canada and took up 530,000,000 acres. Jefferson bought it from France for only 15 million dollars. (Land would cause tension between the two sides and they would eventually fight war here.)</div>]]></description>
