Perspective can influence the outcome of an event. Someone who isn't tainted by the evils of the world will have a different view of an event than someone else. "Make not too rash a trial of him, for / He’s gentle and not fearful," (Shakespeare 1.2.566-567). Miranda, the daughter or Prospero has lived on the island since she was younger, she doesn't know what the world is like. When a stranger comes to the island Prospero and Miranda have a disagreement, Prospero doesn't trust the stranger, yet Miranda does. Someone who is unaware of things will have a different idea on a certain outcome.

Power

Power can be used for good and evil. Power is many things, it can be the status of a person, or it could be the knowledge they possess. "Good boatswain, have care. Where’s the Master?" (Shakespeare 1.1.9). This scene is during a storm, the people who have high status, all their power doesn't matter, because the sailors have knowledge on how to survive. Power can be utilized for both good and evil purposes.

you can gain power by showing feats in someone or showing your strength or ability. You can by gaining support, or knowledge about a partifcular context, inheritence, emotional appeal, fear and trickery.

Losing power
