I completed this course because it was the assignment selected for the course. 
My top 4 learnings...
1. You are able to screen, record and incorporate recordings into lessons.
2. Use google notes to collaborate with team members. (use checklist, links, screen record thoughts) 
3. Upload photos into google notes and turn the picture into a worksheet for students. 
4. Students are able to screen record as they are working. (talk through and work through problems or work) Once they have completed the work they would upload the recording.

I chose this course because I knew I would need to take it later for Modules 12, so why not do it now! I learned a lot about screencastify and all of the wonderful things it can do to help enhance students' learning. 
Here are some highlight that I learned:
First, I love the idea of being able to teach a lesson right from my screen and being able to record it while teaching the lesson. 
Secondly, I love anything that incorporate learning with real pictures, real sounds, and using real-life events that are occurring around us into our daily teaching. That's what I am getting from screencastify. You can't get from a book🤔
Finally, I love how screencastify show how students can get involved in their learning and take more initiative in their learning by reach out to the teacher when don't understand their assignment by just click on the screencastify and explaining where they are stuck at or not sure about in their own words.

I selected this course because it was already pre set for me to take I most defiantly in love with this app and cannot wait to start using it with my students.

Things that I learned was that this app allows me to still be a teacher and be able to explain assignments without the students having to read the directions. Being able to record and add it to a slide would help my students tremendously.
Having the students not only be able to speak to me but to each other and share thoughts is helpful with doing a turn and talk or even a group project.
I just love how this app can be used within the classroom or for virtual learning and the students no longer have to wait for someone to read the instructions, which can help them be more responsible for their work.

I learned a host of things such as you can lesson plan with teammates using castify. It also allows students to demonstrate issues with problems they may not be able to articulate. 
In the case of an absence you can pre record your lesson so students will not miss out in the teachers absence.
