When we saw signs of Yellowstone Park dying, we considered possibilities and it turns out, wolves, or lack of them, was the cause. Ever since then we have been trying to save the wolves, and some wild environments that were impacted by the lack of them. In 2011, wolf researchers noticed something, a wolf designated OR-7, known more commonly as Journey, had crossed the California border, becoming the first wolf in California in 90 years, looking for a mate, he stayed in California for a year looking and went back Oregon, not finding any mates here for obvious reasons. Now we have two wild wolf packs in California, one from one of Journey's pups. This is a massive change in the environment, and a huge step toward Wild Wolf Recovery.
