Hi, I'm kathia. I'm 22 years old. I was very exicted with the idea to come here, but at the same time, I was nervous because this is my first time out of my country and to stay too far of my family. In spite of everything, I love to be here and meet new people and the most important is that I can learn how to teach English.

I reciently finished my bachelor degree in English with emphasis in translation on February 17 this year in order to be exact. I have 3 sister and 2 brother, I'm the oldest of them, so I have always had a little more responsabilities than them because I needed to be like a example for them and show them the correct path.
I have 2 nieces and 2 nephew. They are amazing I love them too much.

I really like to listen to music specially pop music. I like to spend time with my family.
I love to go the beach. It is one my favorite place in the world.

I have never taught before, so I do not have experience giving classes in a real school. I have only given tutoring classes during 2 months.
However, when I come back to Panama, I would like to teach English subject. I would like to share with those children all the knowledge that I have learned here.

Successful language teaching requires extensuve L2 input.

When I was student, I remmember that my professors regulary showed us a lot of videos, music and even conferences with navative speaker and I did not know why, now I understand. When a student is learning a new language, it is really necesesary to expose our student the much as possible with the language in order to they can lean faster.

with the children, I going to exposure them with the language and to teach them each lesson very clear in order to each class will be comprehensible and meaningful.

In this way, teacher realize if I have understood the class.
As teacher, we must keep in mind that it is not necessary to talk all time class that we must give the oppotunity to our students to talk and express what they think, we are genereting confidence in themselves, developing the speaking or witting skill, and formularing critical thinking.

The opportunity to intereact in the L2 is central to developing.

The interaction among students is really important when students are learning a new language.
as teacher, we need to create classes with interesting contexts where they feel confident to participate also give a time where they can interact with their classmate since sometimes classmate can help each other clarifying concepts about the lesson even they can learn more about their classmates than about the teacher have explained. For that reason, interaction time is not only important to develop talking skill but also clarifying concepts.
