Asia McClain was a student in the same grade as Hae and Adnan. Asia was only acquainted with Adnan so it stands out that a random person is willing to defend Adnan. Asia's affidavit states that she was in the library with Adnan at the time of the murder. Asia wrote Adnan two letters and is defending him, Adnan did not respond to the letters which insulted Asia. Jay changes his story in different interviews where Adnan had shoed Jay Haes body. So, the map shoes that Adnan killed Hae. But Jay was with him at the time and somehow he doesn't remember. But Jay says that Adnan had left school, killed Hae and put her body in the trunk. Jay states that he had first seen the dead body in a grassy parking lot and later changes it to best buy. Jay and Adnan were just friendly towards each other. They never hung out or went to functions together they were just acquaintances. But, Jay pleaded guilty to the murder of Hae. He was interviewed too many times to count but within the next year he was interviewed three- four times and everytime he retold the story it changed. Either where he was when he saw the body or just small things. Jay repeatedly told police that Adnan was the killer. She had started talking to a new guy, Don. Don has an alibi. But both Jay and Asia have an alibi for Adnan. Jay would be he killed hae, he left school killered her and he met up with Jay. But Asia comes out of nowhere and claims to have been with Adnan at the time of the murder. So, we know sombodys lying.
