The ideological state apparatus is the big companies that own the media and use the moral panics to keep people thinking that they are in danger. Calling the article 'Battle of Brighton'. Making the fight look like it was brought on by the sub cultures when it has been found they were paid £10 to fight. They were placed as a folk devil by being called 'dangerous' and 'violent'.

2) The Sun representation of the Riots. Saying that it 'spread across London' and that there were '215' arrests with the 'PM jets back'. This is using the RSA in saying that they have it under control. They placed a picture of a young boy infront of a burning car and made it seem as though it was his fault.
