Its symptoms include cough, breathlessness, wheeze and associated limitation in activity. Increases in the prevalence of long‐term conditions such as asthma are presenting considerable challenges to health services internationally and traditional models of healthcare are struggling to cope. Emerging information and communication technologies (ICTs) have the potential to ameliorate some of the challenges being posed through enabling and supporting patient care at a distance. .

https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD007717.pub2/full?highlightAbstract=telemedicine%7Ctelemedicin

Telemedicine is a method of maintaining continuous contact with patients and healthcare providers.

A teleconference is an easy and affordable way to conduct meetings between people unable to meet face-to-face. It can be used to educate or train, collaborate and network. The basic teleconference requires a phone and a phone bridge, which is a conference line that all participants call into.
1)Plan your teleconference call. Set a date and time, and obtain a conference bridge line. If your company doesn't offer one, you can get one free at Freeconferencecall.com. Establish your agenda and prepare your presentation.
2)Contact participants to give them the date and time of the call as well as the number to the conference line. T
3)Call in at least five minutes early to the teleconference line to familiarize yourself with the line. Most conference call lines will give a chime when someone comes on to the call. When you hear it you can greet the new caller and ask him to introduce himself.
4)Give an overview of the call and how the teleconference will work. Many moderators refer to this as "taking care of business." Let callers know who you are and what the call is about. Give them instructions on how they can mute their line of background noise, which is to press *6 on most teleconference lines.

The single included trial of 57 participants utilized a parallel‐group design. It compared 30 hours of either personalized low vision training through telerehabilitation with a low vision therapist (the experimental group) with the self‐training standard provided by eSight using the eSkills User Guide that was self‐administered by the participants at home for one hour per day for 30 days (the comparison group). The trial investigators found a similar direction of effects for both groups for vision‐related quality of life and satisfaction at two weeks, three months, and six months. A greater proportion of participants in the comparison group had abandoned or discontinued use of the eSight Eyewear at two weeks than those in the telerehabilitation group, but discontinuance rates were similar between groups at one month and three months. We rated the certainty of the evidence for all outcomes as very low due to high risk of bias in randomization processes and missing outcome data and imprecision
https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD011019.pub4/full?highlightAbstract=telemedicine%7Ctelemedicin%7Carticl%7Carticle%7Cvia
