A welcome letter addressed to all caregivers would help to start a conversation. I would include details about myself and my life so that they might get an idea of the sort of person that their children will be spending time with throughout the day. I would provide multiple ways that I could be contacted to ensure open and easy communication. Along with the welcome letter I would send home a student contract, that would clearly lay out the expectations and hopes I have for my classroom.
