         <description><![CDATA[<div>The reactivity of metals decreases as you go from left to right and decreases as you go up on the group because ionization energy increases so its harder for it to lose electrons and react. For nonmetals, as you move from left to right in the period it increases, as you move up a group it increases because electronegativity&nbsp;increases so it's easier for it to lose electrons and react.</div>]]></description>
