With how the world works, Conflict truly is inevitable and there is no other way around it. This is largely due to the different views, beliefs and goals people have that contradict one another, wether it is on a global scale or not. Some want to be the powerhouse of society, some want to be the best, some wants to achieve this, some want to achieve that and this can go on and on. It really is inevitable since people disagree with one another a lot. Conflict of course can be solved through peaceful manners but in reality and knowing how people are, that’s not always the case. Take the events of the WW2 for example, Nazi Germany wanted to spread their facist influence and power around the world which the Allied Forces disagreed with since they believe their capitalist influence and views were better. In this case we see how people have different visions for a world they believe would be perfect and this is one of them. Consequences like the collapse of the Economy, damaged infrastructures and many more. There is also the worst consequence of all, the death toll. Although, there are also positive effects such as the advancing of technology, healthcare, reduction of unemployment and so forth. As a young member of society, addressing conflict is important today. Especially when the world is full of conflicts where most turn into wars. A solution and concrete action to do this  is making voices heard in order to do this. By bringing up the issue, you might be able to resolve a quarrel. In this approach, it will be obvious which objective has to be pursued. As a result, interpersonal contact and mutual comprehension of one another's perspectives are encouraged. This is so that coming to an agreement with one another can encourage a nonviolent, peaceful resolution. encouraging individuals to establish connections in order to succeed in nation-building avoiding conflict and handling it in a way that gives everyone the chance to express themselves. The event shown in the picture are parallel to the incident depicted in the picture that resembles earlier conflicts such as WW2. This is because just like how Germany invaded Poland in 1939, the war in Ukraine started out when Russia invaded Ukraine and threatened their democracy. According to (Invasion of Poland, Fall 1939, n.d.), the Nazis' justification for invading Poland was that Poland was working with allies to overthrow Germany. A similar thing was also send with the present situation where in the goal of Russia’s invasion was to "demilitarize and de-Nazify Ukraine," according to Kirby (2022). Another conflict that is similar to the current war between Ukraine and Russia is WW1. This is due to the fact that there were also tensions being felt that were coming from the alliances of Serbia that were being formed which threatened Austria. Similarly, the Ukraine situation can be correlated with WW1. In an article by Nye( 2022), NATO's decision to  include Ukraine posed a threat to Russia's borders. Just like the alliances that posed a threat to the power of Germany. NATO is a type of security and defense, a modern-day alliance between 30 countries, its goal is to protect its members' freedom and security. Posed a threat to Russia's borders. Both countries, Germany and Russia felt threatened by the capabilities of alliances and what they could mean for them. Which triggered both to take action in destroying or stopping anything that threatened their power near their borders.

After all the main goal is "Bridging the Gap and Building Connections Towards Nation-Building”. To be more insighful on this, this photo essay will assist in teaching lessons from historical and contemporary conflicts. This is so that we may be able to better understand the hows on how to handle conflict and/or prevent it.

Conflicts can be resolved by analyzing the current situation and getting a good understanding of it. Afterwards, a mutual understanding between those at conflict must be made so that they can go through the best possible options that will benefit and work for both sides. An example of this is the formal surrender of Japan which ended WW2 in Asia. According to (Klein, 2020), on September 2, Japan formally surrendered. General  MacArthur of the Allied Forces said, "Today the guns are silent. A great tragedy has ended. A great victory has been won". History is always bound to repeat itself unless we do something about it. Although a lot of factors are not in our control, we must do our part in ensuring that past conflicts don't happen again by becoming protectors of the peace and order in big or small impactful ways. If we are to settle a conflict, we must do it the right way or the most logical way through peaceful manners, this can be done by trying to obtain a great mutual understanding and respect for one another, thinking with logic and not having pride and egos, and proper communication. Finally, we have a vital part to play in this world, so let's do it and ensure the possibility of a better world to come. Conflicts have shown to leave lasting negative impacts that take a lot of time before it is repaired. Such things are damages to infrastructures which will take up a lot of expenses and resources just to repair back to their old form. An example of this is the aftermath of the Philippines post-WW2, where there was a lack of finances to support repairs to the already terrible economy, which then in turn cause poverty to be a bigger deal than it is today.
