Connection

In the novel Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone the connection between the possible themes and the quotes are that your going to have up's and downs in life and you have to face then alone and the world is going to keep going. And there are going to be people that test you and making fun of you or even uncomfortable situations and you ultimately have to go through them yourself. And learn to not care what others think especially if they are your friends. And to learn that everything isn't always going to go your way. But you play the part in living your life so choose what you face and go through even if sometimes its uncontrollable.

The most common Notice and Note strategy that I've found in Every Last Word, by Tamara Ireland Stone has been 'Words of the Wiser.' An example of 'Words of the Wiser' being used in the novel is found in the Chapter 'Kind of Twisted' which states, '"You look around at the people in your life, one by one, choosing to hold on to the ones who make you stronger and better, and letting go of the ones who don't. I think that's what Caroline wanted. She didn't make you brave, Sam. You did that all on your own"' (pg302). This makes me wonder who Sue (the therapist talking to Sam) who is the people she is referencing when Sue says Sam holds on to because it may correlate to the support system she had. It may help the reader make connections to the theme of identity and place by making it clear that Sam is in control of her life.

The most Notice and Note strategy that I have found in every last word has been words of the wiser. In the novel most of the words of the wiser have been from Samantha's therapist named Sue. For example Sue said "You look around at the people in your life, one by one, choosing to hold on to the ones who make you stronger and better, and letting go of the ones who don't." This helps the reader try to analyze and see what Sue is trying to say with this and seeing how maybe in the future Sam will learn how to remove the people in her life who make her weak. And it helps with the overall message of being able to have friends that support you and don't judge you.

The most Notice and Note strategy that I've found in "Every last word" by Tamara Ireland Stone has been words of the wiser. An example of words of the wiser being used in the novel is found in page 251 when Sure says, "Everyone's got something. Some people are better actors than others." This makes me wonder if Sue was trying to help Sam understand that she doesn't need to be on the "Crazy 8's" because she's Sam's therapist and she's trying to help Sam with her mental health. I think that the author includes this in the novel to make us think how Sue is trying to help Samantha throughout the novel. It also helps the reader make connections to the theme of identity through her therapist and how she is helping Sam through therapy.

The most common notice and note strategy that I've found in "Every Last Word" by Tamara Ireland Stone has been Tough Questions. An example of tough questions being used in the novel is found in chapter 1 which states "Don't worry" They won't find out. They're upstairs". (pg. 6) This makes me wonder why she is so afraid of her friends finding out that she has OCD. I think that the author includes this in the novel so that it can let us readers know what her friends are like. It also helps the reader make connections to the theme of her OCD by stating that she is afraid to show them her OCD.

The most commone notice and note strategy that I´ve found inn Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone has been Words of the Wiser. An example of Words of the wiser being is¨But anyway I know what I did now, and I am so sorry. I¨ll never be able to tell you how much I regret It. But Im truly, genuinely sorry. And mortified.¨.(page 95) I choose this as my first words of the wiser because it shows that you how to takee accountbility and to try to not be so regretful in sistutaions that there is no need to because it can cause stress and emotions against a topic that wasnt that serious. Another reason on why I choose Words of the Wiser because ¨ You look around at the people in your life, one by one, choosing to hold on to the ones who make you strongerr and better, and letting go of the one whos dont. I think thats what Caroline wanted. She didnt make you brave, Sam. You did that all on your own¨. (Pg.302) I also choose this because this shows that she has people that care and support her and helps her connect to her indentity to have control over her life and helps connect the reader to feels for her emotions.
