Significado: la escalera interior completa de una casa o edificio (estructura fija con baranda, pasamanos, etc.).

Ejemplos:

• English: The staircase leads to the second floor.

🪜 2. STAIRS

Significado: se refiere a las escaleras en general (una serie de escalones), normalmente fijas, dentro o fuera de un edificio.
➡️ No es portátil. Si son portátiles, se usa “ladder”.

Ejemplos:

• English: Be careful when going down the stairs.

• Español: Ten cuidado al bajar las escaleras.

⚠️ “Stairs” se usa más comúnmente que “staircase” en el día a día.
“Staircase” es más formal o arquitectónico.
