I teach science (chemistry and physics) and my classes always start with synthesis of the previous class. Then throw a question by projecting an image, a vídeo, an experimental demonstration, news or commenting that some curious! From here it is stimulated always a perspective of constant questioning. They are very dynamic classes where they throw themselves questions about the subjects to teach. There is a debate. Then there is a moment where the class is consolidated the concept that we want to teach. Another important point is to solve exercises where they can apply what they have learned. Also, every week, we have a laboratory class where they themselves do experiences.
I think I have the profile to apply the PBL pedagogy. I think, from what I saw in the videos, there are parts that I making such as the stimulus to seek new ideas and to be creative in argument. I value critical thinking. For example, in experimental work is not always get the expected result and it does not mean that the experience was wrong. At this stage I look for them to be critical of those results. There is always a way of explaining what happens. But I know this is not the PBL pedagogy. My great fear to apply the PBL is the TIME. I think the PBL takes time to the teacher and students get to realize the dynamics of teaching and at the same time we have a curriculum to meet. And politicians do not want to know the path that runs ... just want to get to the end.
Maybe I can try to apply the PBL with my 7th graders (13/14 years) using Physics (astronomy) as a subject!

To combat this problem I decided to change and adapt the curriculum of my discipline to these students. Initially I did not have the support of colleagues because they said it was a very demanding job and and it was not worth it. But I decided to continue and apply was defined as being better for the students. It was a hard and difficult road, but in the end it was worth it. The students recognized that they had learned and enjoyed working.
Despite having gone well, it was not worth the work that had, by the time I stole my family, and colleagues who do not change and did what they usually do, they earn the same as me and have the same job. Sometimes I question myself if it is worth all this effort by the students ... and I get always the same conlusion: worth it because these are small successes that give me the strength to continue to be a teacher with joy...
