I know that some of the officers that are there are very cruel to people and treat them badly for being from other countries. 

There are others that are very kind to you. 

I say this because I was in one of those places.

• Us black and brown folks get checked, slammed, hand twisted and get rude remarks. 
• You don't have much control over comfort of beds and you may get thin covers
• They are often threatened by other inmates and they have no choice but to defend themselves.
