  • “Stories are in dangerous places.” Find people with an interesting story.
  • “Stories exist where you don’t think they are.” Have to go out, talk to people outside of your circle to find stories.
  • Keep your eyes open for stories. They’re all around you.
  • Look for the stories you can’t find anywhere else. “Why do people do what they do? Why do they do it?” You want to answer that.

She was frustrated that she did not make the varsity cheerleading squad. Levy was suspended from junior varsity cheer for a year due to her vulgar comments. As a result, Levy sued the school district and the case went all the way to the Supreme Court. She ended up winning.

    I thought this was an interesting article to read. I heard about this case but I didn't know that much about it. I'm surprised by how huge this situation became. The article definitely gave me things to reflect on regarding our free speech and social media. I personally feel like the school district responded to the situation in an extreme way. This could have been dealt with the school and Levy's parents.

    • Some challenges we might come across include standing at a distance. This can make it difficult to get nice close-up shots. Can't get any photos of the crowd since the show is being prerecorded.
