I would love to schedule you guys to come out and present at a faculty meeting! I would definitely prepare a bunch of the tools presented to give away as prizes to our teachers. After we give them some resources, I think it would be a great idea to do rounds/walks where teachers get to look at the areas in other classrooms for ideas.

I would like to use it as a teacher reset tool. In my experience, our teachers do not consistently react appropriately to student behaviors. Planning for calming corner next year is great, but will require a lot of planning on admin end due to class size and lack of classroom space for this area.

I am concerned that it will become a time out spot.

I've tried to roll calming corners out at 2 schools. I think it's important to note that extreme Tier 3 need a lot of support to walk them through how to condition them to use the calming corner. Teachers easily get defeated and close up the calming corner the minute a student destroys it. This is more for Tier 2 students in my option.

I like how you mentioned a reward corner too. That may help prevent copy cats.

I think I'll roll out the option to create and we can help them roll out with thier high need students.
