This article summarizes 10 tips for to teach. Under every step it explains the tip itself and how it can be used wisely. The main tips I got from this article were knowing and understanding students and their different backgrounds. Some pros that were mentioned were the respect students would have, no stereotyping, and no more fear, ignorance, or dis-ownership. Some cons that were talked about were focusing on the negative, stereotyping, and "color blinding" students.
Three teaching strategies I plan to use:
-Cultural backgrounds activities for recognition.
-
