In the third module of our pedagogy program ( innovative pedagogy and assessment tools ) we study and discuss many things regarding this topic.
Firstly in innovative pedagogy we discuss about 21st century skills composed of some skill like critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, information literacy, technology literacy, flexibility, initiative and many other skills that they are highly demanded skills for students, academics, business and professional worker.

Another topics is teaching methods, that actually we have many of them, the main teaching method is lecturing that is very common and it is easy and good in some way but it shouldn’t be the only method for learning because it is boring and the learner become very passive and not interact with the materials and of course we have different students that each have their different personality and ability for learning that the lecturing is not compatible with them so we have to use different type of teaching methods, some other common teaching methods like presentation, workshop, assignment, lab work, but also we have some new way of learning.

- gamification
- guest presentation
- case base method
- snowball method
- collaborative method
- fishbowl method
- flipped class room
And many other methods, each of this methods have their advantage and limitation or may be disadvantage. And may be each one have their specific indication but can’t be suit for every situations,

Regarding the assessment first we have to specify our objectives of learning and then indicate the outcomes that we want to get in the end of the course so the assessment should be designed in a way that guarantee our goals and objectives,
We have assessment of learning, assessment for learning and self assessment.

Rubric is a guide to evaluate of specific activity, there are two type of rubric holistic and analytic rubric, that the holistic give single score for the whole activity and it is one dimensional but analytic rubric is two dimensional and divide the activity to multiple criteria and give score to each one separately then collect the total score from them.
Rubric make evaluation to be more objective, and give the learner an idea about how the evaluation going on and give them tips regarding their weak points that should be work on it
So improve students performance.
