Coming from being the K-4 Music Specialist at Puesta del Sol for 16 years, I deeply respect the immersion model. This year I endeavor to learn about Jing Mei and how I might best use my strengths to enhance the well-being and learning of my students.

SEL focus: Middle School Readiness

For 5th graders I hope that they will have opportunities to work through real life examples and simulations of middle school friendship conflicts. Specifically, how to recognize toxic friendships, standup for themselves, and set boundaries.

Academically, I hope that our students can be trained to used class time productively and finish their work so that home time can be used for fun and self-guided learning using or not using AI.
