         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Bowlby<br>Study to asses the impact of maternal deprivation of the likelihood of delinquency in adolescence.&nbsp;<br>Lacks confidentiality- revealed names, this makes it easier for the public to identify the individuals involved in the study. Lack of consent- they were not old enough to give full consent so may feel pressure to take part by their parents.<br>However the research has had benefits to society…<br>Helped society learn more about child bearing and emotional care in early childhood and how this can affect them in the future. Bowlby’s research has been used in present day times, for example, hospitals now allow parents to stay with their children when they aren’t well.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Refers to if the participants are willing to take part- Watson and rayner study on little albert demonstrated that it was possible to condition an emotional response. This study caused psychological harm to the participant (little Albert) such as fear and stress that was not reversed which could last a lifetime. There was also a lack of consent involved in this study as the the individuals mum wasn’t fully aware or the aims of the study. This specific controlled observation did have a coat on little Albert as he was deliberately subjected to harm.<br>&nbsp;However, there were no clear ethical guidelines at the time that the study took place. (1920’s)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>John Bowlby- this research may be socially sensitive as it may put significant blame on families who have young offenders. Furthermore, it puts blame on the mothers of these children and could cause discrimination against them.&nbsp;<br>Hamer- genetic studies on gay men, suggested homosexuality is influenced by genetics. This is socially sensitive to gay men and could cause discrimination against this group of individuals.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Britain, psychologist’s must follow the British psychological society- the code of ethics and conduct which states four core principles. These are respect, competence, responsibility and integrity which are set in place to ensure that all research is ethically acceptable and fair across the whole or Britain. However, Cyril Burt was a psychologists who went against these guidelines and ignored integrity which resulted in unfair findings that did not reflect the true study.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
