Can it represent another fraction? (1/4, ½)  Break them apart.  Show ¼.  Now show ¾.  Would you rather have ¼ or ¾?          <description><![CDATA[<div>Tug of War:   Mollie has two pizzas that are the same size.  One pizza has 6 slices.  The other pizza has 8 slices.  Which pizza has bigger slices? How do you know?<br><br></div><div>Review fraction of the day.<br><br></div><div> Review that fractions can be shown as a set or a whole.<br><br></div><div><strong>Whole: </strong>Give each student 3 pieces of white paper.<strong> </strong> Fold piece one into ½.<br>Piece two into  ¼.<br>Piece 3 into 1/8.  <br>Label fractions you created on each piece of paper. <br><strong>Think about it!</strong><br>How could you use the ½ sheet to make ¼?  How can you use the ¼ to make 1/8? <br> </div><div><strong>Set:</strong> two sided counters.  <br>1.       Give each student 8 counters to represent given fractions.
