<title>“Who I Am; Words I Tell Myself by Susan Verde 2023”. I think this book would be great when teaching keeps about self-identities and being confident in themselves because it shares how children might feel when they are not happy or cant achieve something. Then it goes through and shares what children can do when they are feeling those types of way. It also shares about how to embrace yourself as who you are, and that you are worthy.

<title> “I Can Say No: Help Kids Protect Boundaries and Build Confidence”. This book is a great book to share with kids because it talks about how to say no when they can say no, and the importance of sticking up for themselves when they are put into a scary situation. It gives young children the confidence that they need if they ever find themselves where they don’t have an adult around to advocate for them. </title>

<title>What If We Were All The Same!: A Children&#39;s Rhyming Book About Ethnic Diversity and Inclusion. This book is a fun, rhyming book that shares about the differences that kids might see with other kids. Not only does it talk about race, and gender, but it also talks about how everyone has different colors hair, and eyes, some kids wear glasses, or use a wheelchair. It also talks about how we should celebrate our differences, instead of just pointing them out.

<title>Emotions charades. This is a great game for kids to play to teach them about emotions and being empathetic towards other kids. Kids and teachers can choose an emotion and act it out and everyone else has to guess it. This is a great way to open up a conversation about emotions and when we feel them.

<title>“I Am Different, The Same As You: A Children&#39;s Book about Differences That Promotes Diversity and Inclusion, Empathy, Acceptance, and Compassion for ... Abilities, Special Needs, or Down Syndrome”. This book is great for parents to read to their kids, to share about the different disabilities that other kids might have. I love that it includes pictures and it is a great opener for parents to ask if their child has seen kids with disabilities before.

<title>An Activity to teach children about diverse families would be to have them all draw a picture of their family, using skin-colored crayons and materials to best represent their family. After they are finished, I would have them share with their friends who each member is in their family. This will open up a discussion between the students and myself about how our families are different, but they still make up a family.

<title>“Pink is for Boys” This book is a great resource for families to share with their little ones because it does a great job of explaining that boys can play with dolls, and kitchens, and wear pink, just like girls can wear blue, and play with trucks and dirt.

<title> This resource talks about several ways to create an anti-biased classroom. It talks about bringing different colored art items that represent different skin tones that children might have. Art is a great activity for kids to participate in, and often children don’t always see the tools they can use to create a representation of themselves. I think bringing in Play-Doh, crayons, and paper into the classroom that best matches different skin tones, kids won’t look at it as such a different thing. </title>
