The fragment is part of the 160-meter long frieze decorating the Parthenon colonnade. The Athenian sculptor Phidias was appointed to oversee its construction and decoration; the project employed a huge number of artists from Athens and elsewhere, from 447–432 BC.

1. Firstly, I would provide a small (but correctly scaled) 3D model of the Parthenon in order to give people background on where this fragment came from. It would allow the people viewing the fragment to visualize the detail and work put into building the Parthenon, as well as where the fragment came from.

2. Secondly, I would make sure that it was placed in the center of the room. This would allow the viewers to see frieze from all angles, again viewing all of the detail of the artwork.

3. Thirdly, I would provide a drawing or painting which depicted this fragment as it was originally. For example, the background of the frieze was painted blue while the figures' hair and parts of their clothing were highlighted in gold. Additional objects and clothing accessories were modeled separately in metal and applied to the finished frieze. This would allow the viewers to grasp the fully beauty of this work when it was first made.

Early Spring, by Guo Xi, is an ink and light color piece on a silk hanging scroll. This work, done in 1072, is Guo Xi’s most famous masterpiece. Suggested by forms emerging from the mist, the land seems to awaken as the trees spring forth. Guo Xi arranged the main elements of the monumental landscape along the central axis of this vertical scroll.

Learning about the Chinese history in which this art was created is important to understanding it's importance and meaning.

2. Secondly, I would provide a large tablet in which you could flip through the three different layers of this art nearby which show how Guo Xi utilized the technique of atospheric perspective. The three approaches are namely high distant(高遠), deep distance(深遠) and level distance(平遠).

3. Thirdly, I would have some traditional music from the era of the Song Dynasty. This would set the mood in the exhibit area, and would help draw the viewer to the piece.

This is an example of primitive art, in which the art is cultural artifacts of "primitive" peoples - that is, those ethnic groups deemed to have a relatively low standard of technological development by Western standards.

It was damaged in his studio by fire in 1850 and, although restored and acquired by the Bremen Kunsthalle, was again destroyed in a bombing raid in 1942. In 1850, Leutze began this version of the subject, which was placed on exhibition in New York during October of 1851. At this showing Marshall O. Roberts bought the canvas for the then-enormous sum of $10,000. In 1853, M. Knoedler published an engraving of it.
