What I am Still working on: I'm still working on lesson timing as well as having consolidation at the end of a lesson in order to asses/check student understanding.

What I am still working on: The difference between Learning Goals and assessment criteria.

I understand the formatting of a lesson plan in terms of organization, and am comfortable creating learning goals/success criteria from curriculum expectations

What I am still working on:

Incorporating stimulating Minds-On activities that provide assessments for learning and properly introduce the content that follows

I understand setting clear objectives, learning outcomes and determining what students should know or be able to do by the end of a lesson.

What I’m working on:

Meeting diverse learning styles. Figuring out the best strategies and resources to make sure every student is supported and challenged at the right level.

• Creating learning goals and success criteria for each lesson

What I’m still working on:

• Creating activities/lessons that engage students, while also considering modifications for students that need it.

How to break up the body of my lesson plan (minds-on, action, consolidation) and time each section that benefits my students.

What I am still working on:

How to modify materials and resources to fit all students needs in the classroom (differentiation/ accommodation/ modification).

What I am still learning is, assessment tools for each student, timing with each lesson and being able to consolidate with the students, to find out what the students have learnt.

• Creating learning outcomes and aligning them with the learning expectations with the Ministry of Ontario expectations.

• I also like to create minds-on activities because I find that to be the most fun piece of lesson plans

What I continue to work on:

• Creating accommodations that are meaningful and well-organized for students with IEPs.

• How to utilize the three part lesson-plan (minds-on, action, consolidation)

• Starting with an activity that gets students interested and connects to the lesson

• Moving in to an activity that involves gradual release of responsibility

• Consolidating with a class conversation, exit ticket, reflection, etc.

What I am working on:

• Modifying activities when there are multiple students modified to different levels

• Accommodating students with various learning needs

• Incorporating different learning styles and intelligences into my lessons

What I'm Still Working On: I'm still working on which assessment is best used per activity or task and understanding the justification for the given value to certain assignments (example: a project worth out of 30, and why that is)

What I am working on: which assessments best suit the learning styles of the students and what to consider as an assessment mark and what not to consider.

I also want to know how to modify my lessons for students with IEPs - how can I best support their needs so that they are still able to participate fully.

What I am still working on: diverting/changing the lesson in case it does not meet the needs of the students in the classroom (if some are falling behind, need refreshers to the lesson, or if some are advanced) 

I understand how to format a three-part lesson (minds-on, activity, and consolidation) through integrating engaging videos, hands-on activities, and student-led teaching opportunities.

How to consolidate the lesson done and what to do better if the lesson didn't work. Modify lessons for IEP and what to do when classes are canceled--how to support students who miss out.
