In a democracy, the people have the power to either vote for a representative or directly. There are two different types of democracies, representative and direct. In a direct democracy, the people would vote directly on laws and the majority of people who voted one would either allow a decision or not. In a representative democracy, the people would vote a representative to make decisions for them. The way I connect with this government is that America is a representative democracy where WE can vote for people to make decisions for us wisely.

In an absolute monarchy, the king, queen, emperor, or empress has all the power over citizens. Regularly, monarchy rulers are chosen by inheritance. Although the ruler over the people has all the power, he/she has to keep the people happy to keep their place as ruler. I connect to absolute monarchy by a movie I watched about a kingdom where the king sat on a large throne and he made all the decisions for the citizens to keep their kingdom safe from other kingdoms and enemies.

In a constitutional monarchy, the king, queen, emperor, or empress doesn’t have all the power. The people and ruler in a constitutional monarchy share power on decisions. Unlike a absolute monarchy, the constitutional monarchy’s people get a say into what they’d want in laws and decisions.
Theocracy

A theocracy is a government where their people believe in a god. A theocracy can be alongside many other governments as well. You could have a democracy, monarchy, and more types of governments with a theocracy since it adds on to their style of leading and just adds belief in a god among their people. I connect to theocracy because as we are in a representative democracy, many others still go to church to learn many religions like how I’m catholic.

An oligarchy is a form of government where a few people rule. The people decided to rule is usually those who are wealthy or take power by force. Decisions in an oligarchy are decided from the few in charge. In a Junta, the few leading are military leaders. I connect to oligarchy with the playground in elementary where the more athletic people would get in a small group and they would group us in groups.
