Space is a very vast and expanse place that may not ever be fully explored. However, learning about how day and night are able to happen, and how many rotations around the sun equal a year was one of my favorite things to learn. Helping kids understand how day and night work and see them make those different kinds of connections is why I choose this topic.

Affordances: This story is only 30 pages so students should be able to read the full without losing interest. Along with that the pictures and illustrations within the book are not super distracting, and they go along well with the story.

Limitations: The biggest limitation in this book is that fact that the characters names are not common so they will not be able to pronounce them. And they say words that students will not know how to pronounce correctly, which could cause student to struggle and then lose interest in furthering the story.

Affordances: This book is only about 24 pages, so it is easy for students to read. Along with that each page has at least two sentences so that means students would have to read at most four sentences each time they turn the page. The pictures that are provided are very on point to what the sentence says, furthermore, there are arrows on some pages pointing at specific aspects.

Limitations: I could not come up with any limitations for this book. I believe that this would be a wonderful book for students to look into if they were learning about space/the sun.

When I selected the about us section, I read that this was "launched in 1998, NASA Space Place's mission is to inspire and enrich upper-elementary-aged kids' learning of space and earth science online through fun games, hands-on activities, informative articles, and engaging short videos." More specifically, this website was produced by a team at NASA's jet propulsion laboratory.

Affordances: This website is easy to get around, it is not super busy or hard to use. It allows students to click on many different aspects of space. With each section there are questions for students to answer, games they can play, and different activities/crafts that they can do.

Limitations: When you scroll down on this website there are lots of other things that are related to earth that you can click on, but there are three rows with lots of different options. This part of the website is very overwhelming, slightly confusing, and could cause troubles for students.
