They were a symbol of the young genertion, who were rebelling aganist the old traditional ideals. the first three in the musical group were George harrison(lead guitar), John Lennon (rhythm guitar) and Paul McCarteney(bass guitar). There are concerts, festivals and and tours here. But it isn't just The Beatles today there are festivals and tours by national and international artists too. The next stop is quite a long way, so don't walk- get a bus or taxi. Go to Anfield Stadium, the home of Liverpool Football Club. There is a museum  and Visitor's centre. Visit the dressing rooms, see the trophies and tour the Stadium.
