Sa compagnie de vente de produit de grand volume via l’internet était un concept qui demeurait assez nouveau, mais il réussit à la faire grandir très vite. Il crée trois branches un peu plus tard, tous visant à aider les propriétaires de petites entreprises. Les trois étant ; 1688, taboa et YiDaTong.  Son domaine économique est la macroéconomie, car sa compagnie se concentre sur plusieurs grands facteurs de cette dernière comme le revenu, l’investissement et la consommation. Après 20 ans de gestation de sa compagnie, Jack Ma pris sa retraite en 2019, une décision qui a fini par être très bon pour lui économiquement en raison de la pandémie actuelle (les stocks sont très bas en ce moment)

Le concept de ce dernier est un des facteurs qui rend la délocalisation de la compagnie de Jack Ma moins nécessaire. De plus, le fait qu'il est pris sa retraite pour se concentrer sur sa fondation nous montre sa générosité.
