The director: in order to promote the use of the conditional tense (in Portuguese futuro do pretérito), the students have to state a list of measures he would take to improve the school. It can be a contest, depending on the number of students.

Friends : the students have to create the lines for a tv show. For example the tv series Friends. The teacher puts the mute button and they have to pretend they are the characters.

Kitchen show: to promote the use of the Imperative form, students bring ingredients to do a dish in the class. It can be a salad, a fruit salad, a cupcake...

Alphabet game: in order to improve vocabulary skills, the teacher chooses one letter and the students have to come up with a list of words referring to  (house, animals, city, food, clothes…) beginning with that letter  

Be grateful: student choose one thing or person for which they should be grateful and speak about it.

The animal: the student chooses an animal and goes in front of the class. By responding to yes or no questions ,the students have to find out which is the animal that the student chose. It can also be done with professions.

Two lies and one truth: after getting back from the holidays, students have to tell something about it. There should be two lies and one truth. Students have to guess which is what.

All these activities work well with Language B students. Perhaps, the hardest one is the Friends one where they have to be the dubbing actor. It takes time for them to prepare the lines and to rehearse, but it is always fun.
